Director Priyadarshan Wants CM Pinarayi Vijayan To Interfere In Mollywood Crisis
No big Mollywood film released during Christmas. Not much new work is going on either. Director Priyadarshan cannot take this anymore. He believes the fight between distributors and the producers is hampering Mollywood; he wants to stop this battle with the help from a very influential person.
Priyadarshan told media, “The Film Exhibitors Federation has always tried to destroy Malayalam cinema. At a time when Malayalam film enters the Rs 100 crore clubs, a permanent solution should be found to end this; we now have an active Chief Minister who can take firm decisions. The personal intervention by Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan will surely help break the deadlock.”
Priyadarshan wants higher authorities to take an active interest in Mollywood crisis. He does have some valid points. Someone needs to stop this war. Dulquer Salmaan was looking for two consecutive Christmas hits. But his movie could not release due to the strike.
