Now the name Srinivas Avasarala has become larger than actor as he has got nice name as a good director with classy taste. After such a pleasant movie like ‘Oohalu Gusagusalade’, he is coming up with his ‘Jo Achyutananda’ starring Rohit, Shourya, and Regina. Right from the first look to the trailer, each and everything has been so impressive and thrilling. After a lot of speculations about the actual plot, the director is claiming that the audience will leave theaters with hearts filled with a nice feel. Let us see whether he has succeeded in his second venture or not.
What is the story all about?
Achyut (Nara Rohit) and Anand (Naga Shourya) are two brothers who are very close to each other. Their lives change upside down with the entrance of Jyotsna (Regina). As expected, both the brothers fall head over heels and start wooing her. When everything seems to be going fine, a small incident changes their lives and creates differences between them. What is that change? What kind of problems did it create between the brothers? How will they solve their problems? To know answers to these questions, do watch the movie.
Naga Shourya and Nara Rohith played brothers in the film. They are good as Achyutha Rama Rao and Anand Vardhan Rao. Both of them have put wonderful performances in the film. Especially in the emotional scenes, they are at their best. Regina Cassandra also played a good role in the film. She looks glamorous and at the same time, she performed well. The rest of the actors did not have a great scope to perform but all of them made their presence felt.
Slow Second half
Production values by Varahi Chalana Chitram are top notch. Credit should go to the art director for showcasing every minute detail with a lot of effects. Music by Kalyana Ramana is yet another highlight. All the songs come up at right places and have also been shot quite well. Editing is sleek but it is Srinivasa Avasarla’s dialogues that hit you instantly. They are witty, contemporary and very emotional during crunch scenes.
After giving a hit film with ‘Oohalu Gusagusalade’, Srinivas Avasarala comes up with a coming of age story between two brothers and narrates it beautifully. The chemistry that he generates from Naga Shourya and Rohit and the way he binds them emotionally throughout the film is a treat to watch.
Jo Achyutananda is one film that we are all waiting for. The film brings back those nostalgic days where we used to hang out with brothers. The film is a tale of two brothers. Though the trailer projected the film as a Triangular love story, it wasn’t the same as we watch the movie. The film is all about the different situations Nara Rohith and Naga Shaurya go through because of Regina Cassandra. The characterizations are very strong that we can relate them to our own lives. Jo Achyutananda deals with the emotions of persons. While Srinivas Avasarala’s first film Oohalu Gusagusalade is a light-hearted romantic entertainer, this film Jo Achyutananda is a heavy package of emotions.
The first half of the film is very much entertaining and the director completely makes the audiences involved in the film. The only disadvantage of the film is the second half. The last half an hour of the second half has the drama more than required. This makes the audiences feel bit bored. The climax was shot well where Shaurya and Rohit gave their best. Undoubtedly, the film will remain as career best for the lead actors. Srinivas Avasarala was also successful in making his second film a successful one. On a whole, with a beautiful storyline and screenplay, the film is entertaining. The slow second half is easily negligible. With some good emotions, the movie stands as a winner this weekend.
Verdict: Another Feel good entertainer from Avasarala.
