The Great Father Box Office Report: Mammootty’s Film Earns INR 4.31 Crore, Creates A Record
Mammootty is still the kind of box office. His “The Great Father” opened well everywhere. But the film did outstanding business in Kerala theaters. The film earned INR 4.31 crore so far. Producer Prithviraj confirmed the news on his Facebook feed.
A overjoyed Prithviraj wrote, “Like Pulimurugan, consider this the results of an experiment to gauge the real magnitude of the domestic market..of a big ticket Malayalam film. We are growing guys..and how! And the credit belongs to each one of you! #TheGreatFather
202 screens, 958 shows (including late night shows), ₹4,31,46,345/- Gross.
Thank you! 😊”
Mammootty plays a sensitive father in “The Great Father”, critics’ reviews are mixed for the film. While everyone praised Mammootty’s character and acting, most critics showed little appreciation for a rather predictable storyline. Anyway, audiences seem to like the film. The Great Father may well turn out to be the first genuine Mollywood hit of 2017.
