Baahubali- Races Ahead of All at the Furlenco Best Outside Bollywood 100 Crore Film Audience Poll
The Furlenco Best Outside Bollywood 100 crore film audience poll revealed some stunning results. It was for the first time that Hollywood films which were dubbed in Hindi gave the Bollywood movies a run for their money. A first of sorts, movies like Furious 7, starring the late Paul Walker and the last flick of the franchise as well as the sic-fi Jurassic World earned more than Rs 100 crore just in India.
However, the Prabhas starrer and S.S.Rajamouli’s magnum opus ‘Baahubali’ emerged the clear winner with a thumping 67% votes. The historical drama was concurrently made in Tamil and Telugu besides being dubbed in Malayalam, Hindi and French. One of the grandest films to have been ever made so far, the movie became the highest grosser in India and ranked third in its earnings globally. The dubbed Hindi version alone earned Rs 117 crore, the highest in the dubbed category.
The action flick, ’Furious 7’ too had all the ingredients in it to become successful and it did by earning about Rs 110 crore in India and obtaining 22% votes in the audience poll. Not to be left behind, ‘Jurassic World’ which was appreciated for its enthralling visual effects and superb direction collected Rs 101 crore in India and obtained 7% of the votes.
