Rather than having adverse effects on their popularity, the way in which they went about this violation resulted in them receiving whopping amounts of praise by the public for the sheer ingenuity of the idea.

Google Gears up for India Vs. Australia Match through Doodle

There have been quite a few interesting doodles, with the 2010 doodle on the anniversary of Pac-Man being their first interactive one where users could play the famous game on Google’s homepage. Google have since made it their practice to show their appreciation for various events and famous personalities. Google India’s current doodle showcases the showdown between India and Australia.
The second semi-final of the 2015 World Cup is set to take place at the SCG, where the two heavyweights will go head to head to book their place in the finals against New Zealand. The stage has been set for the top two teams in the world to battle each other to get one step closer the highest honor in the world of Cricket. The whole world is buzzing with the excitement for the match, and Google adds to the hype with their doodle.
